If I get it within the next two weeks we may drive it to Michigan, which raises another good question. Would that be a safe / smart thing to do with regard to the recommended break-in procedure? When it says don't maintain a constant speed or RPM, what does that mean? Change speed every five minutes, every 30 minutes, every hour? Would adjusting your speed by 5 or 10 MPH really do any good? How important is the break-in period and what are the consequences; assuming I don't do any hard accelerations or stops?

No idea personally on wether you can do that I doubt it unless your good friends with the suits or your name is "SHUNT" Break-In is a term used for those who will never fully utilize their car would I peddle mash the car to 6k rpms and 110mph first thing probably not a great idea but a long highway trip is good for the break in just don't use cruise control the more you make the car work the better it is down the road.

The only Chevrolet car you can pick up at the assembly plant is the Corvette, and in reality you do not even pick that up at the factory but at the Museum which is across the street and about a mile or so down the road.

Becky just confirmed mine was built yesterday! Now at 4200 status. Mighunter I would have bet we would be built on the same day. You will get it today, I'd bet on it. No way there's that many 2SS cars being built with our options to cause another day gap.

The 50th Anniversary Editions have been causing hold ups since 6/6 in the system but I agree I hope it gets built today man.

Oh well, I'm still waiting for the parts to move my garage door higher to accommodate the 4 post lift that's also on its way lol. I've always been a late bloomer, guess that's still ringing true even in my car orders
