No Volume for iTunes or Pandora

When I hit the "media" button to switch to the tunes on my paired iPhone I can see the song title and that the tune is actually playing, but there's no volume. Same thing for Pandora. It was fine until a couple days ago. Radio volume is fine--it's just bluetooth stuff that's silent. I'm new to infotainment, so I'm presuming user error of some sort. Have I accidentally toggled something off?

Your phone volume is still used, make sure that it is not all the way down.

Yeah, thought of that. Volume's about halfway up, and I checked to make sure the phone wasn't in silent mode. Oddly enough, when I'm sitting in the car, I can't even get tunes to play over the phone. Yet here I am at my work desk, and everything plays just fine!

Bluetooth is a PITA sometimes. Mine just stopped working the other day, worked on it for 2 days. Unpaired phone, repaired, nothing. Rebooted the phone, forced stopped my music app on my Galaxy S6, nothing. Volume was all the way up on my phone, nothing. Finally opened up the music app on my phone and played music on my phone then got in the car and let it connect to BT, finally worked...Bluetooth is great when it works, have this issue with every BT speaker/device I own once in a while.

Good to know, because I was really scratching my head on this one! I hope it magically comes back on for me as it did for you.

Tried your little trick and it didn't work. Stood next to my car, pulled up iTunes and started playing a song, then got into the car and started it. Get this: As soon as I got the little chime telling me that my phone was connected, the phone volume shut off! The car actually SHUT OFF my phone volume somehow. I'm back at my desk now, and it plays just fine. So weird.

I am an IT tech for 20 years and BT makes me scratch my head every once in a while...just flaky sometimes.

Good to know! Guess I'm not as dumb as I thought I was.
