Today I tried Launch Control

I've read about people using the launch control, so today I stopped on some pretty decent pavement and put into the proper modes and sure as shit it worked really well. Both times it launched pretty hard and I was really surprised how well it did work. I did start spinning the tires about 100 feet out but it didn't blow the tires off like it usually does with the TC off. I'm going back to Gateway this Saturday and hoping to get enough passes to see how it works at the track. If it improves my 60' I'll be impressed and should put me into the 11.90's as I was so close with a 12.04@115.83 w/60ft of 1.791. It feels a little lazy from the hit because it trying to keep the tires from spinning. I won't have to worry about it spinning the tires a 100' out at the track, Gateway has a big bracket race this weekend so the track will be well prepped. It holds the rpm's as others have said right at 2000 rpm, basically its like rev limiters I've had on several of my other cars and they worked very well and works like a small stall converter except the TC is limiting the tires slipping. Try it and you'll like it.

I think you will be disappointed at the track. It cuts power for too long if the traction is reasonable.

Unless your track is crappy, you will go slower with LC.

What RPM does the car hold? Can you put your foot to the ground on the gas, or just to about 2000 RPM?

It'll hold 2k rpms. When you first go WOT, it looks like it will shoot to about 2200, but then immediately drop to right at 2k

"Get it to work" how? Did it not let you foot brake to 2k? Or did it just spin? If it just spun, try letting some air out the tires. When I bought mine, it had like 40psi in the rears, that made it spin from pretty much any speed when you turn everything off lol

Yes about 2k. Push the brk down as hard as you can. Floor it quickly, R's go up and then come back down.

The only way launch control in these cars (unless you are are a road with terrible traction) will be quicker than a good driver will be when they start to install DCT's in them, and I don't see that happening for a long time, if ever. LC in a car with a good DCT like a Ferrari, Porsche, etc works fantastically to give you just the right amount of revs and wheel spin to get you the best take off. I've tried it a few times in my friends 911, it works great. In the Camaros, not so much...it's just not the same system.
