GM, plz.
That is not what it cost GM to manufacture those engines and install them at the factory and the prices you posted are off from retail crate engines.

Well I had an opinion but I'm a Gen 5 owner it's apparently invalid since I don't understand the Gen 6. My poor Gen 5 brain is just too underdeveloped.

This thread has become hilarious.

Newsflash, no one can discuss any object they don't actually own anymore.

Yeah it's pretty much like saying nobody can have an opinion on how well the president is doing leading the country, because they are not the president.

Yup...anyone who loved the 5th Gen and prefer to either keep theirs, buy one or wait to pick up a used 6th Gen obviously best go back to playing with Lincoln logs and playdough ..the Gen 6 Master Race™ are the true elites and have far superior and more developed intellectual capabilities than their predecessors.

Guess I'm stuck discussing the 4th Gen.

I actually prefer to eat my playdough, if you play with it too long it gets weird crumbs and stuff, and it'll dry out too much.

It's entertaining listening to all the theories about sales. Everything from salesman's tactics and knowledge, the weather, advertising, the MSRP, car quality, Corporate profits, etc., etc.,...

At the end of the day, GM builds and prices the cars....and we can either buy them or not.
They never asked me how to run their corporation, and I'm not going to start now.

It's sort of like Sausages....I sure do like them, but the last thing I need to know is how they're made or what's in them....lol...

Mustangs are selling like hot cakes, Challenger is doing good....Congratulations to them.
I'd still prefer the Camaro....and I don't think Chevy will have any knee-jerk reaction to any of the advice they've been given in this thread...

I can see how a 6thGen owner might get upset at the constant criticism of the car they just bought, but I haven't seen any posts that aren't trying to be positive to some degree...

Any way, the sales just boil down (for me at least) as a curiosity as to who's winning a popularity contest each month. Sure, I wish it was the Camaro, but it's not the end of the world if it's not....This generation is just getting up and running and the sky isn't falling...Peace...

Except, the labor force participation has dropped way down, so the numbers really are big: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/...ot-labor-force

We now return you to your topic at hand.

LOL.

I just returned to this thread (directly to the last page). I guess I missed some drama. Oh wells.

I had a 5th gen. Loved it. Still do. Great cars. Still turns my head. I like my 6th gen more. Simple as that for me.

I know, but think of those of us that are driving the gen6. I'm dreading the scenario when people pull on side of me and say:

"Nice car, sucks that your sales figures are low"

"Sweet ride, a shame they don't make commercials for your car"

"I was trying to compliment you on your car, but I was afraid to pull on side of you due to the visibility issues you have"

"I love your car. I can't own one cause I play golf."

I guess I can only hope that some people's opinions are based on facts rather than the BS posted on this thread.

Politicians don't care what we say or think either but it sure doesn't stop people from talking about politics

Of course they care! They want to tell you all the things you want to hear to get your vote. They just don't do anything after that.
