Especially if it comes from someone who doesn't own a 16. You aren't the first to call for it, you probably won't be the last.

I really don't understand why you and others like you wasn't to exist in an echo chamber of atta boys and "cool car bro" comments? Just because someone doesn't own a specific model, doesn't mean their comments and observations about said model are any less valid in most instances. Most people commenting are car guys and Camaro guys at that. Furthermore, the guys not trading their cars for a 16 can tell you specifically why they aren't. Seems to be that would be good information to have.
I really don't care if you dislike me and others that are like me. I'm not here to make you happy. I never said that everyone should have raving praise of the gen6, you are entitled to your opinion. I just value the opinion of someone that actually owns the product over someone that won't buy one until Chevrolet makes commercials they like. Why would someone that has no intention of buying a gen6 spend all their time on the forum? Those of you that feel the Mustang is such a better value and is better a better quality product should go buy one. Problem solved. Many people with the gen6 experience ugly remarks from those that own a gen5. Lets look closely at this....how many people that are posting the negative comments drive a gen5 Camaro? Plenty. How many people posting negative comments do not own a Camaro? Plenty. How many people that are posting the negative comments actually own a gen6? Not many at all.

To sum it up for you...Those of us that own the gen6 come on this forum to discuss our cars with others that have experience with our model (gen6 on gen6 forum). It's hard for us to find each other with all the wannabe's (non gen6 owners) posts flooding the topics. It would just be so much easier for us if your posts went to a special place, maybe something with an important title like "People Chevrolet needs to Employ". You can post all your ideas and complaints and Chevrolet can find all of you in one thread.

I know it's hard to accept, but its a gen6 thing that you need to own a gen6 to understand.

It was very harsh. I'm thinking it appears that they were comparing the 2.0 to the SS, not to other 4 bangers. Seems like a battle of trim levels, rather than comparable cars.

I don't own a Camaro, but it would be my choice out of the bunch.. Great car! Although, I know from being on these forums (Mustang and Camaro), I'm much less of a fanboy than most so I see what you're saying, Nvrsatisfied.

And I hate to say it, but C&D has become the "least" reliable media reviewer. They have a history of biased, unquantifiable metrics, and inconsistent testing results. All media reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, but C&D needs the tequila and lime.

That said, that applies equally to all their reviews. Not just Ford or GM products.

*your* opinion, not you're opinion.

The negative comments aren't without merit, and most gen 5 owners either considered, or are considering, the purchase of a gen 6. Many of us, me included, are disappointed with the new car. Why on earth shouldn't we be able to discuss that? And as far as noticing that the sales are low, are we supposed to pretend that we didn't see that, just so your feelings won't be hurt? Go find yourself a safe space and cry it out or something. Your posts are getting embarrassing.

Interesting article and I didn't know about the CTP. This part just confirms the obvious most of us have already known; GM has solid product but a terrible marketing team and strategy that has been failing for a while. The smoke and mirrors game they've been playing isn't working.

Quote:
And all of this would seem to track back to GM’s mind boggling decision to continue without a CMO. There is no cohesive strategy, the individual brands get to to do whatever they want without answering to an overarching corporate strategy.

The effect of which is leaving some of the most competitive General Motors products in years languishing. XT5, Acadia, Cruze, Malibu and to a degree Camaro might as well not exist to new car shoppers. Excellent products mean little if they can’t be rolled out in an effective manner.

If GM would just get it’s marketing sorted out they wouldn’t have to resort to the incestuous practice of jamming up CTP for the sake of claiming “the largest retail share increase of any full-line automaker.”

.....Not sure what to make of any of this, but a few cars used as loaners to customers, then maybe rented out after three days for more test drives, or whatever, doesn't quite sound like a "rental fleet" to me....I figured that would be for actual rental companies, Hertz, National, etc....

Everyone is looking for a reason to jump on the poor sales/this is why band-wagon....
the details of dealership/manufacturer dealings is an all time best-seller mystery....

I think we're better off not knowing.....Just negotiate a price, then take it or leave it...Diving into things that are none of our business seems like more trouble than what it's worth....

Low sales mean nothing if there is profit being made. Again...you don't know GM"s stratergy, so your input is meaningless. Even if the total units sold is low, I still love mine and it will be more unique. I don't have hurt feelings, me and other gen6 owners are very happy with our cars. Unlike you, I actually get to own/drive the car that you spend all your time reading/dreaming about.
