It sucks but it's to keep your eyes on the road.

Yet, we have unlimited access to our OEM info tainment system...

I rather apple let the user be responsible for their actions. not them baby us.. Carplay is useless .

You hit on the head. Google has done the exact same.

So this is a safety thing, not a software glitch? I find this irritating. I can hit the "more" at the bottom of the list and ask Siri to play a certain band or song but 90% of the time she doesn't understand what I'm saying and brings up something totally different. Pain in the ass if you ask me.

I feel like netflix should work with apple car play. I should be able to watch a movie while I rear end people.

I have no problems with mine. Salesman updated firmware when I picked up the car. I found I have more access with apple play then BT. I switch over the steering wheel controls to audio and use the buttons to navigate through the menus. I can show songs, playlist, artist, everything just like on the phone. I can scroll through all the menus and see them on my dash instead of looking at the 8" screen. I have a 5s. I have access to everything song and menu and I have a about 800 songs and 15 playlist. I think the graphics on the 8" display do not look very tech but I bet GM is working on that.

Don't be a sarcastic dick... You can, at any time of vehicle operations, navigate throughout 95% of the OEM SYSTEM... From changing car modes, to browsing HUNDREDS of XM channels......

Apple blocks you from doing anything.....

So the car manufacturer allows me to be a responsible adult, with full government approval, yet Apple knows better?

There is nothing more distracting than using navigation while driving, yet it is 100% functional and legal...

Take your sarcasm somewhere else...
