If it's the LT4 I doubt it will be over 650, unless the Z06 gets a power bump. Way too many old Corvette owners would have a heart attack.

It's possible something is going on with the '17 Z06, it's production is later than usual but likely a result from the Grand Sport.

I think $1300 is the lowest gas-guzzler tax. I think...

That's the initial estimated number. The ZL1 LT4 hasn't been certified by the SAE yet so there isn't an official number. Most cars are given an initial power rating when they are revealed.

The C7 Z06 was rated at 625 when they revealed it but ended up at 650. The Hellcat was initially rated around 600 and ended up at 707.

I'm wondering if they'll end up formally releasing data on both at the same time.

2017 Z06 with an A10 and HP bump and the 2017 ZL1 with a solid HP figure.

Part of me feels they're holding back on '17 Z06 over cooling and the A10 to replace the A8 that's been having track issues in auto mode and would like to announce both at the same time so Z06 won't be outdone in power by ZL1 AND that Z06 camp will have their A10 that they're unhappy we're getting first.

Yes I agree with you. The 17 Z06 will get the 10 spd as well. It won't be specific to the camaro ZL1. Then the trucks will get it in 2018. But GM wants there halo cars to get it first.

I agree that the Z06 will eventually get the 10 speed, it wont be in the 2017 it's been stated a few times already. Maybe by 18, but who knows.

I've seen that as well, numerous times. I only suggest it due to the odd MIA status and specs of the 2017 Z06.

2017 GS orders already have 7/11/16 TPW and that car was just announced a few months back.

You don't find it just a Tad(ge) bit suspicious that a model just announced has scheduled production dates, but a model that's been in production for 2 full years is absent in the same year a Camaro with LT4 and A10 is to start production? Especially since the automatic Z06s have documented cooling issues?
