Hey everyone, new to the forum and a new, first time camaro owner. I didn't want to make a new thread but I'm curious what color splitter I should get. I see most go with black which is what I want but I don't know which black. My car is silver with matte black wheels, so I'm not sure if I should go gloss black or plain black on the splitter.

Go gloss black as it matches nicely with the black on the back!

As a side note, I would go unpainted and take it down to have it properly painted by a paint shop with a paint mixture designed to be on a front of a car.

I have a summit white 2ss with black wheels, obvious choice of black splitter for myself. Where is everyone getting theirs from though? I'd like a reasonable price.

Man I'm going through this debate in my head too on Red Hot...
![]() I like the way black looks but the only thing that bugs me is when you look at the car from the side it makes the front fascia look like it doesn't come down to match the level of the side rocker and rear. It looks short. Matching looks good too but something about it just makes me not able to pull the trigger LOL..... What do you guys think about red?

I read that, what exactly is the point you are trying to make? I don't choose parts based on which looks better broken, I choose based on what looks good when it's not. While I agree with you that "stuff" is going to happen and damage at some point is likely it would have to be fixed whether it's black or red.

Because a black spoiler is much easier to repair than a painted part. And once repaired, the repair shows less when its a black/dark color. Further, black shows the buckshot less when this part takes the rigors of daily driving than body color.
That's the point.

Because if it's painted, one color isn't easier to repair than another. I agree if it was not repaired well black will hide it better than another color but if the damage is that bad it should be replaced. Buckshot is a non-issue as I plan to get paint protection film. That's why if I get this I want to get it soon because that's the first thing I'm doing to the car. Well, the second thing after putting the spoiler on.

I'm going through this debate right now also with a Hyper Blue SS.
I like the body color - with Hyper Silver wheels. I'm not seeing prepainted Hyper Blue in the 2016 SS? |

Which splitter are most of you using? GM or aftermarket?

I'm waiting for something after market. so far there are 3 to chose from: street scene, which is on phastek's site, that ACS one, and the original OEM, weather from chevy, or from someone else like 6LE but in carbon fiber.
so far I haven't seen any that captures me. the street scene one looks pretty good tho, I like how it matches the front end's lines
