But if you are looking for a Sport Coule with an I4 or V6 AND you don't come me to Camaro5 or 6 everyday then your judgement criteria is a bit different. For that customer GM has clearly missed the target a bit.
I would say a sport coupe with a I4, V6 or V8. The problem is that fans like us are a small percentage of potential Camaro customers. With the laser focus on what a lot of Chevy enthusiasts want, GM has alienated many potential customers...even some of us that are on here or other sites talking Camaro all the time.

By every definition accepted in the industry, this is a NG car. Period.

Hence my paid off for almost twenty years performance car, and my cheap econobox.

GM can't be expecting big sales numbers with zero advertising and zero incentives. Maybe the profit margin is better than we think...

....and maybe they are actually building the niche market performance car we all asked for last gen....Their sales could be exactly on target

I agree with your point completely. There is just a segment that would by a crappy looking Camaro simply because A) it beats the Mustang easily and/or B) it sticks it to the Corvette owners by being its near equal.

GM has had months of free advertising to its intended customers. Magazine reviews do this for them and good ones do that even better.

Also, how many Corvette ads do you see? How many 5th gen ads did you ever see?

Don't equate poor sales to GM doing what it has done for a very long time regarding Camaro and Corvette.

I can't say anything about looks because it's subjective but I'll tell you I have gotten way more looks at my camaro in the 2 weeks of ownership than my 16 5.0 ever got
The more the sales, the more the support, the more performance products.

The production predictions for LGR tell a different story.

Oh so you're just here to laugh at everyone in a 2SS while they lap you?

By that math it took you 12+ years to pay off that thing...

Well there were these huge commercials for the 5th gen that people paid to see and millions of people saw them. You may have heard of them. They were directed by Michael Bay.

That's product placement.

And I'm sure your smart A$$ tone wasn't intended. I know it's hard to type what you mean.

Don't confuse that with advertising via ads and commercials.
