Not a Gen6 owner, but I got my C7 on Jan 31 and have 4800 miles on it. Drive it everyday to work (unless it was snowing), and always leave with a smile on my face.

Never understood the 'keeping it garaged and not driving it' thing. It's just a car. You can drive it and keep it nice looking.

Silver/White 2SS Auto/NPP/MRC....Daily Driver.
So far no issues...Best Camaro I have ever owned so far.
Will be buying the ZL1 also, for a Weekend Garage Queen!

Have that much on the SS after just 4 months! Got a set of Pirelli winter tires for it and drove in the snow (with 300 lbs of sand in the trunk!). I'm in Healthcare and have to be at work every day regardless of the weather.

I drive it every day and love it... although it challenges my OCD a bit keeping it clean. which is why I had it wrapped in clear 3M pro series film.

Very very happy with it.
Agreed! A8 was our choice after two M6 Camaros. I don't think I'll go back to a stick shift after having fun with the new auto. Great DD. We have 6K miles in 6 months of ownership with no real issues (other than the disappearing driver's mode and lighting options on the infotainment system). We love to keep ours clean, and living in FL helps.

We used to live in the North central mountains of PA. I drove the 04 GTO and the G8 GT in the snow all the time. Instead of sand in the trunk, I used free weights. Nice and flat so they didn't take up much room. The OP is in FL, so he won't need to worry.

It is my daily driver. I may drive some of the other cars or be forced to drive the Cat when the better-half wants to take the SS to work. I can suffer through those days.

If I need to haul people, I drive the bus. Mostly the bus is used for hauling dogs. That is why we bought it.

My 2SS 6M is my daily driver. The clutch pedal pressure is very light so driving in traffic is never a problem. I would never waste money on a high performance car with an automatic. The car is fast, comfortable and a blast to drive. I just wish it didn't have traction/stability control. Even in Competition mode I can feel the electronic nannies interfere with my fun.

My 2SS is my DD. Love it! 56 miles round trip, and too much of it is in awful stop-and-go jams on the highway. The car is very comfortable and is just as happy creeping along as it is at speed.

Camaro 1SS. been daily driving it for about 6k miles. One thing I hate is the TINY trunk opening...I would also have preferred a drop of the door sill window level by about 2 inches and the removal of the instrument cluster hump.

Other than that the car is great.

You drive a stick in Miami rush hour??

You are by far one of the toughest, meanest, rootin' tootin' est hombres I have ever met...

I can't even drive an automatic in Miami rush hour...

Why would an SS not be a DD car? It's not a Gen 5 Z/28. It's pretty much built to function as an all weather, primary car that can be tracked.

I have and have had some really nice daily driver cars, including a '12 CTS-V, '08 Yukon Denali, current '13 Lexus LX570 (Land Cruiser luxury land yacht), etc. I've also driven a '13 BMW M5 for a week including a 800 mile road trip.

The 2016 Camaro 2SS with 8-speed automatic, dual-mode exhaust, and magnetic ride is an OUTSTANDING daily driver. It is so smooth, comfortable, and fast. Probably one of the best highway cruisers I've been in. Gas mileage is incredible too, easily over 25mpg doing 80+mph. Car doesn't go over 2,000rpm until you're going above 90mph.

The 2012 CTS-V was a close second to the Camaro in highway cruising, but it would be lucky to get 18mpg at a fast cruise with the six-speed automatic.

Really the only downside at all is visibility, but it's really not bad at all if you adjust the mirrors and seat positioning correctly. Blind spot monitor helps as well. View out the back isn't great, but good enough. Not to mention, you don't have to worry about what's behind you as it's highly unlikely anyone is going to catch up.

I'll be driving mine as a daily driver. Even through brutal Cleveland winters and rush hour as I work downtown and live in the 'burbs. If I'm spending $40k for a car it's not going to be a garage queen. I fully intend on having triple digits on the odometer before I even think of getting rid of it.

Mine is a daily driver unless weather is really bad, then I just drive the older Tahoe. Just came back from a trip from Boca Raton, FL. Found the seats were much more comfortable than my previous 5th Gens on a long trip. Loved visiting family, but can't stand all that traffic down there in S. Florida.

My wife drives our 2SS daily on her 60 mile round trip commute and absolutely loves it! So far it's averaging several mpg better than her 08 Infiniti G37 did and puts a much bigger smile on her face every day!

Aside from our 15 Ram 2500, it was our only car until I added a BMW Z4 with the retractable hard top as a filler for the empty spot in the garage! I really like the Z4 for drop top fun, but the Camaro is head and shoulders better than the Z4 in every way! If I'd have waited 6 months I could have just bought a convertible 2SS and not needed to buy the Z4 at all!!
