With the GM employee discount and 1k for not owning a GM when I bought it the price came down to 44k. I put 5k down and financed 39k.

There are some. There was a Conquest rebate where you get a $1000 off just for owning another non-GM automobile. The Private offer is worth $1000 if you can get one to pop up on the Chevy website. They were giving $500 if you had an existing lease. These are all on top of any dealer discount you can negotiate.

The car I bought was off the lot but it had 5 miles on it so I think I was the first to even test drive it. It had just about all the options I wanted and I could get a lot more discount on a 16 vs. ordering a 17. I would lose just about all the incentive money on a 2017 and the dealer discount would only be about 2k for the first few months. I figured I saved about $4k by purchasing a 2016 vs. 2017, plus the 2017 is going up $600.

I am having a hard time believing that second race with the CTS V though.

not a stock SS or the V driver was going about 80 percent. I traded a V in on my SS. And from a roll, the Camaro wasn't even close to as strong.

They did. But that one is a 2nd Gen V, they all had the LSA.

The V in that video was a second gen (LSA) CTS-V. Likely wasn't WOT or had 4 passengers in the car for the SS to pull away like that. While ET's are similar between the cars, trap speed appears to be 2mph or so higher for the LSA powered V's based on reviews.

Exactly. And from a roll like that, it is going to pull harder up top vs the SS.
