Throttle response in track mode vs sport mode

When I'm in sport mode 2nd gear 40mph and floor it there's a noticeable throttle lag verse being in track mode. Is that normal? A8 trans

According to the manual there is a difference in throttle progression and shift maps in sport vs track.

Sport and tour share the same throttle response. Track is supposed to be more responsive.

Shifting seems better in Track. Almost like the rpms don't drop as fast when you clutch in.
or I am just imagining it.

To me everything seems better in track, shifts in the a8 are fast, throttle response, steering and handling are much stiffer

As others have said, the throttle progression is different between sport and track. In automatics, the transmission shifts differently between sport and track as well (See page 223 in manual).

If you want to improve your Throttle response on all different modes, we do offer a Throttle Controller that will allow you to choose from 9 different settings.

I think GM left the door open for not needing an aftermarket controller. I find it just great to drive in Track Mode even for daily city driving, just set the Steering and Suspension to Tour mode. The car is comfortable, fast and responsive, a dream car indeed.

On sunday I'll be driving about 40 miles for a good breakfast, and the joy of rolling in my SS.

Too bad it won't stay on track mode :/

I just leave it in sport.. if I want that extra oomph, competition mode for the win!

On Vitesse's site, I only see up to 2015 Camaros, is the 2016 Camaro also supported via the same product?
