Cluster Gauges

I am not sure if they has been brought up at all, I searched and got nada.

So in the owners manual I noticed on Page 106 and 107 it has a boost gauge and the more you read a few other gauges. It says its all available on the up level Cluster, which the SS has (correct me if I am wrong). Can we change the gauge layout? I am pretty positive that we can not, and I would assume that the Boost Gauge will be for the ZL1? So its all possibly built in the programming?

Edit: Okay after reading it looks like it is possible. I am not to sure as im at work and the car is at home.

I wondered the same thing after browsing the manual. Life has been so busy that I haven't spent much time trying to figure it out. Please post if you do!

The actual gauge positions and functions are fixed, unlike the new Vette.

Can't be positive but I believe the boost gauge is on the turbo only. Looked through all the menus and couldn't find it on my car.

I figured as much. Makes you wonder if the software could be tweaked. I wonder if all of their software is Open Source?

Boost Gauge is only in 2.0 Turbo. You will not see it in SS. Only on 1LT and 2LT with 2.0

The OS is a version QNX--- a type of unix OS for embedded applications.

Actually, there are variations in the SS gauge cluster. Using the steering wheel controls, you can choose from three "Themes". This changes the top row of info gauges available.

I don't know about Boost, but you can definitely change the cluster. You can change between Standard, which shows the 4 clusters at the top, Technology or Media.

On the Steering wheel hit the left arrow button & then scroll down to Settings. I think it's the 2nd screen (press down arrow to see options) and it's called Display Theme or something - once on this hit the right arrow on the steering wheel and it'll bring up the options for Standard, Technology or Media - when you select one it takes a few seconds to be a little patient for it to change.

Also, in the Settings if you scroll through you'll see something that's 6 or 7 pages or something like that. When you're on this screen hit the right arrow and it'll show you a list that's something like Info, Performance, etc. For instance, if you select Performance it'll list all of the screens that are available for you to be able to see on your display in front of the steering wheel. The ones that are already available for you to see are in blue & the ones that are currently not setup to be shown to you are in white, so if there are any that you want that are in white then you'll need to select them (do the same thing for Info any other other options that are listed). Then, once you go back to the Performance page, the new windows that you selected should be in the list for you now.

This video actually shows you what I'm talking about.

Only in the OS, if you change that you can change the gauges in the Cluster.

When you have the top level Cluster you have all the gauges, but GM does not allow you to change the OS on the board, its pre programed but the rest are there.
