Paint issue
I have the RS version and the car has paint chipped where the spoiler and the deck lid meet. The dealership told me that after checking "some things out" they couldn't do the warranty repair because it was an aftermarket installation not done by the factory. Is this correct? They told me I was going to have to take it to the dealer that I bought it from. This is coming from the same dealership that "fixed" my speaker rattle by turning the bass down on the radio (which by the way, fixed nothing). Should I look for a different local dealer or is this a legit thing that needs to go to the selling dealership?

Figured, these guys are idiots, exactly what I thought. I called GM, they are facilitating the appointment now. This will be the last time I use this dealer, which stinks because they are 5 minutes from me instead of the next closest that is 15-20 minutes.

No I bought it from a dealer two hours away. Who exactly is responsible for installing the RS spoiler?

The factory puts on all body work. If there is a paint defect it is covered under warranty.
