maaaaaaaaan, I'm waiting patiently, but its been rough, Uce. like kids waiting for xmas presents

is the 5 inch round muffler, a 2.5 in and out, that's being used? wondering if theres a way to eliminate the adaptive valves, like the mrt setup.... has new 2.5 inch pipes all the way back to the resonator.

also anyone know if that resonator has a built in x pipe?

Is the aftermarket always this slow when it comes to V6 performance parts? Seems like nothing new has been offered in FOREVER! Why is it so hard to create a CAI?

Top expensive models tend to get the aftermarket attention first because they've proven that they're willing to spend cash - often lots of cash.

The Turbo I4 will get the next level of attention (and would have been easily seen by now if it had been released with the V8/V6) because it can be modded very cheaply with not so insignificant results.

The NA V6 is annoying for aftermarket companies because the market is very similar to the I4 market in terms of what they want to spend but the options available to do anything for the engine are limited within that budget. GM doesn't leave a lot on the table for cheap mods.

i think that is why most companies are prioritizing the V6 below most of their other offerings. I had my car R&D'd for K&N's (and some of the companies they own) CAI and Eibach a couple months ago and they're not yet ready with a product and aFe has just been pushing exhaust R&D for the V6 back. I'd look forward to a late summer release of some more options.

I'm not sure. When I owned my gen5 v6 there was already a extensive market of these parts so I'm not sure if the gen5 was this slow to market for mods.

Trust me, I feel the same way. granted, the aftermarket isn't always this slow. love em or hate em, you gotta give credit to ford and its aftermarket. many of the basic bolt on stuff was ready for the car BY the time it came out. sure...boost, nitrous, and tuning may have lagged a bit, but for the most part, they have a lot of support.

when it comes to the 6th gen, I made this post more or less in the general forum. couple of things I DID overlook, was the fact the quick shuffle from the 5th gen to the 6th, due to plants closing and needing to retool other locations to support the production.

also some stated, it took a while for 5th gen V6 parts just the same, and I can vouch for that because back in 2010-2011, there really wasn't much tuning available, even diablo sport nixed the idea claiming, no gains were to be had.... which was odd, cause I was looking to trade in my charger at the time, and hoped I could use the predator/then later the trinity, I had for tuning the charger...

hp tuners later came out, way after the silly/corny "ghost cam" tunes, which basically made the v6's sound like it had a cam, but was the drizzles, when it came to gas mileage and performance. first time I'd heard of an "appearance tune" as one guy put it.

with a decent tune, on hp tuners and other mods supporting, people were going from 240-250 to 270-280 rwhp.

tuning is a science, theres a basic way of tuning, such as datalogging and adding spark advance, or fuel (which most do on the trinity) but then theres more indepth CMR and HpTuners setups where you mess with a whole air/fuel table in accordance to rpm, speed, etc...

so with all that said, a cai....easy to make. seriously. but to make one that will outperform the stock stuff...takes a bit of time and testing.

now I agree, the avg owner, v8, v6 or otherwise, will prob do intake and axlebacks, and maybe lower it. so that's a good easy product to capitalize on fast.

I felt the same way, but I also got my 2013 in 2014 I think it was. so it had been around for 4-5 years (the platform zeta that is). not sure when you may have got yours...

That's about what they said when I called a week ago. Most of the focus now is on the ss model.

So far this has been the only company to legit confirm one...

Rotofab kinda let me down this gen...

I've been wondering this also. It's the same platform right? So would it be stupid to assume some parts are interchangeable?
