well, mine was included. The car was built 12/18/15 and had the bad date codes on the brackets. I was able to confirm the numbers with the camera on the phone. I brought it in to the dealer today for inspection. No cracks found and no further action needed. So, back to enjoying driving it!

"fail in the field"? That's just wrong.

We're not talking about a Chevy Cruze. We're talking about a high performance sports care. I can just imagine when it "fails in the field" and someone gets hurt or killed...

My car is being inspeced for it now after my first oil change. I had to tell the dealer about it they didn't know but they found the service bulletin. My car was built in Dec so hopefully they have the parts if it's cracked.

They could be on the otherside of the toe link as well. Not necessary to be on the wheel side. Check both sides...

Checked mine and it is 303 Oh well, I dodged the oil pan bullet so I won't complain.

FWIW - I have a track day coming up and may not be able to get to the dealer before hand so I wanted to inspect these myself. I had the car in the air with the wheels off (bleeding brakes) and there was no signs of cracks in the areas indicated at the beginning of this thread. My car only has 2100 miles on it and has not been driven in the rain so they were very clean and it was easy to see all areas with a small mirror. So maybe...just maybe...even if you have the 303 or 340 numbers you may not have cracks. Or it may just take some time for them to get large enough to see

I still plan on having the dealer take a look as soon as I can, just to be safe.

Does anyone know if this is something that once they see you don't have cracks they mark your car off a list similar to a recall? Or will they continue to check this every time the car comes in for service? Wishful thinking?

Does anyone have a link or where the TSB can be found, I search google and found nothing. "TSB 28380 Rear Suspension Toe Link Cracking" I called my dealership and they cannot find it, so I wanted to take them proof.

See post #8 for service update number. Your dealer should have this info..

Car manufacturers have used their customers for QA purposes for many years. The difference is that the failures are now easily accessible to the customers thanks to the Internet.

I can't see GM knowingly installing a cracked toe link. I'm sure it was found by a dealer tech when changing the diff fluid or rear diff or inspection before installation on a new Camaro at the factory.

They didn't. They trusted their supplier and got a bad batch. Happens ALL the time..
