I've had one on a v6 camaro and it's a well built product.
I have one coming in tomorrow for the new SS camaro.
They flow real well and is worth the money in my opinion.

I will be buying a CAI unit as soon as they make one for the V6. I had a CAI installed in my 2010 RS and was very happy with the results: looked good, sounded awesome, was easy to install, and . . . added 10 to 15 additional horsepower!

We have! It fit great and we didn't have any whistling. We made 460 RWHP with this intake, VMax Ported TB, MSD Manifold and long tubes.

Are you asking if anyone installed it on their own or had it installed by a shop? I installed it and it fit perfect. There's a lot of members that have this installed on their cars.

If you have a problem with your manifold or engine down the line, Chevy will see you have a non-factory air box. Sometimes they will try to blame a non-OEM part for the failure. If they can prove that the intake caused the failure, your warranty is void and they will not cover repairs.

Now the chances of an intake cause engine or manifold problems is virtually non-existent. But on the .01% chance it does, your out of luck. I personally will be waiting for Chevy's intake to come out. Just for the peace of mind.

Thks for the replies.. It looks to be a good CAI for 11rwhp. Not bad for $400. Didn't kno if anyone had them on the 16's yet. But I am kinda scared it could void the warranty like was mentioned! That would be terrible if the motor blew for some odd rare reason and they denied the claim. Horrible!

I asked the service guy at the chevy garage if the CAI that I installed voided the warranty and he said no. If I ever have any issues I will take it to them and it will be covered.

What's the difference between the CAI intake and the GM CAI?

Some dealers are more lenient than others. And truthfully it don't matter what Joe Blow service advisor said. It comes down to what engineers and techs further up the food chain decide.

And there is virtually no difference in CAIs. That's the annoying part. Chevy of course wants to make money on their parts. And the fear of voiding the warranty helps ensures that. Most enthusiasts will go with whatever intake they want because they know the risks are very low.
