Catch Can Voids Warranty?
Yes another catch can thread. Has anyone had any issues with their dealer after having installed a catch can?

Called a few dealers.. none of them will put in writing that it will not void the warranty. I do know, if you don't have a good relationship with the dealer and when shit hits the fan, GM will DEF use the catch can as the culprit.
It will be more trouble than it's worse if anything were to go wrong. I'm not going to do it. My 2 cents |

The benefits of the catch can underwhelm the cost of the catch can.

A catch can takes 10 minutes to install, if you are so worried take it off before you go to the dealer. I have had them on other cars, my dealer never gave me an issue, and I did have a claim. I will definitely be installing one on this car considering it is DI...

Again, I have it in writing from a Service manager that a catch can will not void the warranty.

Tell that to the guy who's LS3 blew up on Camaro 5 and had his warranty denied because of a catch can installed.

I actually emptied mine last night after about 1k miles and I definitely see the benefit in having them. I'd rather have all that shit in a little catch can that I can empty out rather than have all that shit build up in my engine Like another user said, it's super easy and takes minutes to install, if you're that worried, pop it off before you take it in.

IMO, a catch can should be factory installed.
They may not be the complete answer to intake valve problems on DI engines but probably help sure can't hurt. |

Oh I'm sure it will happen again, and that's the customer that needs to educate themselves on how they're protected and fight back more than anyone. My dealership is pretty easygoing and they knew they weren't getting shit over on me so fortunately I haven't had anythey're asking me to bring my car in so they can fix the squeak in my dash under warranty. I'm the reason why it's not there bc I'd rather fix it myself and if I can't figure it out, then it'll go in

Really depends on your relationship with the dealer regardless. Here's the thread just FYI. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=451361 |

Just remove it before going to the dealer. It will take less time to do that than reading through this silly thread.
