I heard back from the salesman. He said it was a dealer installed third-party alarm and that I'd have t pay to have it removed.

It was via text message with the salesman. I'm on travel for work and haven't really been able to get by there to have it done or talk to someone in person.
I will escalate this. Just starting off slow and giving them a chance to make it right. I'm not happy about the possibility that someone has a fob that could possibly access my car nor that they drilled holes in the dash and then want to charge me to remove it. Seems like a bait and switch. |

Just to update this:
I have not filled out the survey yet...waiting to see how this is handled. I spoke with the shop foreman. He said it's a shock sensor that they install on all the cars. He said he'd be happy to remove it for free. As for replacing the knee panel, he would need approval from the GM, so it's getting passed up the chain. |
