Mylink gone wild!

About a week ago, I noticed a constant clicking noise in the background while the radio was playing. The same sound the Mylink unit makes when you try to change a channel. I tried changing the channel but the touch screen would not respond. I powered the unit down then restarted. That seemed to fix the problem. Two days later the same thing happened. Now, this a.m. I start the car and the clicking noise has reappeared and the unit is blinking between home page 1 and home page 2 and not responsive to touch commands. Anyone experiencing similar problems? Powering down then restarting not solving the problem this time. I called the Mylink hotline but they don't have a clue as to the cause of the problem. I asked them if this was a reoccurring complaint. They stated they have had similar calls. Sounds like a software glitch to me, but who knows. I guess a trip to the dealer is in order.

Sounds like the touch screen is faulty, not a software problem.

If it is a touch screen problem then perhaps manually trying to change the channels should work. I'll have to give that a try.

My started doing the same thing last night. Dropped it off at the DS this morning. Service writer said they encounter similar issues and all it needed was a software up grade....

The software upgrade does not fix the issue. They tried it twice for mine. The had to replace the touch screen after the 4th visit for the issue. Seems to be working fine now.

amazing how many issues are popping up. I still say they rushed the gen6. Should have been released as an early 2017 model. They could have worked out more of the bugs popping up.

Got into my car yesterday after 9 hours of work, and the unit is now working flawlessly. I guess I'll have to wait until the next episode occurs before taking it to the dealer.

I hear you man, I never had this many issues with my 2012 Camaro. Mine were all little stuff but it's still very inconvenient and annoying. Especially since dropping 50K on a car is no joke.

Picked up the car from dealership. Basically, the tech "reset" the radio... No update just a reset.

I believe I've isolated the source of my problem. The issues is the USB port. This a.m. my infotainment system was working fine until I plugged my iPhone into the USB port, then the system went haywire as on other occasions. Very frustrating. Will have the dealer try and fix it during my first oil change. Thanks.

It's fixed with an update. I had the same issue. The first time they updated the radio, the problem kept happening. Turned out the update didn't take all the way somehow

This happened to me this morning. I'm waiting to see if it fixes itself. I hate taking anything to a dealership. :/
