How did we arrive at the point where a Camaro has to compete against supercars? Have we not lost the plot at that point?

This is not your father's Camaro.

This one is all business.

The SS, 1LE, and ZL1 won't be competing with super cars. The Z28 will be. Buy a different model if it's not your thing. They have a flavor for everyone.

Meanwhile, at Dodge....

...Big wings worked then, and they work now. The Z/28 is the best choice for a high wing spoiler....

When Chevrolet stopped wanting it to be nothing more than a plastic rattle trap street car that sold to the middle class for purposes of tearing up straight line roads?

They have to compete on more and higher levels to sell correctly outside of the US.

My question is. Why would you NOT want Camaro to compete on that level?

I honestly can't believe some people are complaining a Camaro is being developed that can run with and beat supercars.

I love the way the license plate is blurred out in only some shots. Lol. Why bother if you're not doing it on all of them? At first I thought it was a decal for a release date they were covering. There are so many models available to choose from Chevy is not holding back one bit. Go Bow tie or go home.

Folks folks...the Z/28 will be a stellar performer..

But please, let's leave "oh it's going to beat XYZ without a doubt" and "the ABC is DONE"..predictions until after we get more info.

It's really really easy to get hyped up and making increasingly grand claims, but we know precious little about this car to be making any kind of prediction about what cars it's going to be beating, much less "supercars".

Any idea what the small 'windows' are behind the door windows near the B-pillar?

This is absolutely NOT an insult, but I think you are looking for a Dodge Challenger with that kind of attitude. No handling, no saving weight, no aero, just retro and straight line speed only.
