Not Happy Track Times
I was a little disappointed with my track times but seems like i was having traction issues as well. Stock car A8. ran a best of 12.701 at 110mph 60f.t. 1.96. Might have helped if i let the car cool down after driving it for 40 minutes to the track. Temp that evening was right about 83. Ill try again with some sticky tire to get that 60ft lower.

What tire psi and such.
I read in here to drop my tires to 20psi slow burn out of the box or just at the edge at about 30-40mph for a few seconds and leave from idle to WOT and cut 2 new personal bests. 8.16 in the 8th. dunno what that would translate to in the 1/4 cause I don't know what our air was but it helped a ton.

Only issue I have with the launch is the delay. .2xxx reaction times all night leaving on third light. Think I need to leave on the second one from now on.

Not bad. Did you adjust tire pressures? We found 20 or so PSI really helps. And the heat wasn't helping.

I've danced between 20 and 25 and 20 is the ticket here as well. Still a little spin off the line but barely enough to worry. Like one little chirp but that could just be the sound of them hookin.

Also, are you planning on bracket race? If not, don't stress about RT. It means nothing.

Do you have your front tire pressure up as far as you can go? Also, instead of leaving on the 3rd bulb, try staring at the second bulb and leaving when it goes out. For some reason my R/T's always pick up when I do it that way.

Did you do any kind of a burn out in the water box? If your not hooking your gonna have to get the tires a little hotter. With 83 degree temps you gonna loose a tenth or so just because of the humidity and your probably loosing another 10th or more just in your 60ft times. Here is my procedure 35 psi front, 25 rear. Drive around the water and the back slightly into the water, put it into the track mode, take off your traction control and put it into the competition mode. Put your shifter into the manual mode, foot on the brake get your tires smoking in first, then shift to second, then to 3rd with the tires still smoking, back off on the throttle and start coming out of the water, pull straight to the line. Shallow stage just barely turning on the second stage light. Leave just off idle in the auto mode, not in the manual mode. You'll never run faster by paddle shifting.

Sounds like the problem is not the launch. A 1.9 60ft still does not usually translate to 12.7 @110. Are you paddle shifting too soon or something?

The 1.9x isn't bad for street tires, alot of that could be track prep. Most of the hero runs I am seeing are on very well prepped tracks. The 12.7 could just be the air. I see a suggestion for track mode, in my experience I've made my fastest passes in sport mode, track was just too stiff. But again the 12.7 could be bad DA. I know at my local 1/8th I am way slower than if I go to San Antonio or Dallas and race.

Elevation and temp. are always a factor. I've not run mine in the sport mode, might try it this weekend. I had one pass where I went 12.49@115 with a 2.11 60ft. I tried to drive around the water but evidently got my left rear tire in the water. I did a couple dry hops but didn't get them cleaned off enough and it smoked the tires and short shifted into 2nd and still ran 2 tenths quicker then the 12.70. That's when I decided to start getting into the water with a burn out. I think temp and elevation were probably affecting his car more then anything with his mph being that low.

No paddle shifting. Air n temp is what i'm leaning towards. 110 is low compared to what everyone else is getting. trying to get my hand on some Nittos or MT or even hoosiers for my next track day.
