Door knee pads upholstered

Just like the title says, Had my door knee pads upholstered. Turned out pretty good, I know the stitching isn't perfect but they look nice. He added a nice padding inside that i can actually feel. best of all, Only $50 for both. A better deal then GMs over priced ones. just thought id post this up in case someone else was interested in doing this. all upholsters are different in quality and price but should be pretty comparable all around. The padding is really what i wanted the most. My center console knee pads are already done from factory so i only needed the doors done.

Nice! I have an extra set of these. I bought them because I had planned on getting a 1SS, then found a deal on the exact 2SS I originally wanted.

That is awesome! Did you take the 1LT(1SS) stock plastic ones and have them covered? Or did you take the 2LT(2SS) hard padded ones in and have them redone?

I had the hard plastic ones on my doors. Had them done to match the center console pads. I have a 2lt and they have the hard door ones if you don't have the lighting package. Would have done it sooner if I would have known how cheap it would cost.

That is fantastic!!! I'm going to start calling around for pricing. I would love for my center console one on the drivers side to be more padded, and the extra leather on the doors would look sweet.

I want to do this for my 1SS so my knees don't get as bruised at the track. I may just wear knee pads

Looks great! Mine came base plastic garbage as well. I bought an extra set to try to do them in carbon fiber but if that doesn't work I'll just upholster like you did... thanks!
