I still have to take it in for Recall, Hood alignment, A8 has a heavy vibration on a deceleration in 2nd and hesitates into 2ND gear and driver speaker is making noise. When does it stop

So what was the verdict? They replacing, repainting or more BSing?

Well , they are doing a repair order now with all the terms , I've offered for them to take the car and I will cut my losses. About 80% of the the car has to be repainted to be right. That will entail take front rear windows and sunroof out take both doors completely apart alot more than I thought. Of course they were trying to talk me out of a repaint but wtf am I to do !!!.

Who came up with the 80% number? We had people who do collision repair on exotics and SEMA show cars give estimates for our car. They all said the only way to make it right would take 35+ days depending on their schedule with a full respray of the car as there is no way to blend in new paint to correct the defects. Even the local dealership wanted nothing to do with repainting the car and that's with 50+ years of paint/body experience and state of the art equipment.

At this point if they are concerned with warranty and that BS why don't they just buy you out of it and everyone can walk away? Or have them respray the whole car by the best paint place you can find. Even though it won't have a warranty it will have a beautiful brand new paint job. Then take it and trade the damn thing away to recoup as much money as you can and get something else. At this point they aren't leaving you with many options.

I'd get a lawyer involved I'm surprised gm doesn't take care of it since it's a problem

I would never agree to have them re-paint 80% of the car IMHO you will find more issues once it's painted and then you will be screwed get a lawyer and call it a day demand nothing less then a new car or full re-fund.

The 80 is a guess on my part , yes most of the meeting was compiled with ways to talk me out of repaint and playing down the whole thing. But I know different and have to give them the opportunity to get everything together.
I called and talked with the chevrolet rep , and explained the details of the meeting she was in agreement of the situation and she said she needed at least until Monday to talk with people in her end . She is very nice hopefully GM sees this is a major repair and does the right thing , at this point I have know excitement of ownership, I just want this over its cause issues with the Lady and I , That's a bigger problem

Have you taken the car to get quotes from body/paint shops? We took our car to several of varying degrees of service. From three GM dealers that said they would not touch it to high end body shops. One of which was working on an crashed Aventador the day we were there. Repainting the car based on every professional opinion we received was a 100% respray and no one, not even the GM dealers said they could get the car to us in 30 days. Thus putting the car in violation of our states lemon law.

Also I'm curious. What was their option if they were talking you out of repainting the car, a buyback? Before you made it sound like they were trying to talk you into painting the car but the work would not be warrantied. I would hope by now you are only dealing with someone in executive services because frankly those on the dealership level and the area managers are worthless. How some of these managers got their jobs is beyond me. If I had the level of ineptitude some of these people we have dealt with have I wouldn't have a job. I guess it depends on how much you owe on the car, your finances but would letting them give it a nice new paint job be bad thing? Let them correct everything that is wrong with the car on their dime and go trade it in before anything potentially hits carfax. At this point, personally, I don't think you owe them any form of loyalty.

I don't understand why you would have not involved a lawyer by this time. You are going into these negotiations without any knowledge of your rights. Good luck, I don't see that dealership doing what's best in YOUR interest and without a lawyer YOU'RE not doing what's in your best interest either.
