I don't get the delay. The Grand Sport was announced after the 1LE, yet it will be available before the 1LE, and pricing was already announced. It doesn't make any sense.

I'm in a glass case of emotion!
May just pull the plug and do an Eric SS. I really did like my G8GT. |

If I was 5 years older and had kid or 2 I might be in the same boat. Then again, I think I have an itch for a performance wagon maybe one of the german ones. I wish they would revamp the SS though and make it with the LT1. Too bad its getting dropped from the lineup.

Surprised so many of you liked your G8's. Maybe I just got a lemon, but mine was a complete pile of crap. Had all sorts of vibration and harmonic issues they couldn't fix, rattled terribly for 20,000 miles, had suspension issues, etc, etc. A SS would make a nice daily driver if you need the extra space and doors, but I could never, ever get one instead of a SS 1LE. Two totally different cars...

Not instead of, in addition to just got the SS first. It may not be as fast as a 1LE, but I don't think that's directly related to how fun the car will be. The G8 was a blast and the SS looks like it takes it to the next level. Check out the motor trend on demand ignition video on it. They were having a blast driving it.

I usually wouldn't spend that much on a daily either but this is gonna be my toy and daily all in one. I do have a fusion titanium lease also, but that won't be seeing much driving time when I get the SS. From all the reviews and customer reviews I've seen of the SS, it seems like a very solid car. I haven't found one complaint of rattles or anything, just compliments. I went into the glove box yesterday looking for a build sheet before the prep the car and my first thought was "wow, this is much higher quality than the G8 was!" Everything feels very solid and tight. |

I know we're a little off topic but I've only had the SS for a few days and I have zero regrets for not waiting for a 1LE. I am in love with this car more than any other car i've owned (except my IROC for emotional reasons). And when the wife's Q60S lease is up in 1/2018, i'll trade that in and buy the 1LE Camaro. There will probably be a slight refresh in 2018 and I'm betting the A10 and maybe even a 2SS 1LE. Then she can drive the SS and I'll drive the Camaro. Best of both worlds and I can wait 1.5 years. She can drive s stick so we can swap when I want
![]() The only thing that caught me off guard is no lease option on the SS. That's fine with me though because I'll probably keep it forever. |

They were the most soft wheels I've ever had on a car. If you even drove within 10 feet of a bump, they'd warp/dent just out of fear. And being in New England, yeah. I had them 'straightened' (on the dealers dime) 2 times. (I bought it used with 4k on the odo). Also doing the DOD delete did wonders for reducing vibration at the switchover (and running in 4cyl mode was lumpy anyways). --kC |

I didn't want a stick this time around in a 4 door sedan. In a Camaro 1LE, without a doubt I would want a stick (obviously no choice) unless they end up offering the A10 possibly in 2018 and I there is positive feedback from it. I've always enjoyed a manual but want to relax in this one
