I made the statement in my first post. It's quite obvious. I have nothing more to offer you.

Buy the car that does it for YOU. They are both high performance, one is a 1320 beast with retro styling, the other excels very well at many things and has new age styling.

Which one does it for YOU is the car for YOU.

Good luck to everyone.

Love this post. Who cares about who likes what for this or that reason. Buy what you want, respect others decisions, and realize we're comparing cars with 650+ HP from the factory with a warranty!

This, not everyone is a corner carver, and not everyone is a strip monster. Buy the car that makes you happy and not everyone from whatever forum you happen to be on

Yes I urge everyone to go put a deposit on the new Volt. It is just as good as the ZL1. I will buy the ZL1 and let you all know if it is worth it. Until then plug in your electric cars and go hug a tree. I got this!

You should always buy the car you can't wait to go drive, that you have to look back at when you walk away from it, and that you often go open the door into the garage just to look at it.

THAT car is the one you should buy.

Go Big or go Volt. If you leave work early to drive your car or you take the long way home you've made the right choice.

I do exactly that in both of my rides and neither are brand new. (99z28 & 2004 GTO)

THIS! I find myself going to the garage for a certain tool or something, then spending an hour just admiring different aspects of my cars. Nothing like a garage full of things that make you smile. Wifey finally understands a very small percentage of that point....but some nonetheless! Haha

how did we get to a Volt? thought we were talking about performance cars.

btw, i might buy a volt, but it is way outside of my current consideration for a performance car.

The hellcat has already established itself as the pony car to beat. Until it is dethroned, it will remain king. We still do not know what the final numbers will be for the zl1 but it has a hefty hill to climb. All the beatings we've seen of hellcats putting away z06s should prove that the Chrysler is grossly under rating their power claims. I think the ZL1 will run 10s under the right circumstances. .. stock. If not, it'll be damn close. I will guarantee it on drag radials! As for how it matches up to the kitty...I can't wait to see. I do know one thing else, if/when I get the new ZL1, I plan on running some of the quickest stock times. *drops the mike*

I can't wait for the head to head between the ZL1 and the hellcat. Gonna be epic. Still can't wait for the final HP and price as we all want to know. I hope you get a hold of one to get some good times. By the looks from your signature that is some pretty incredible times for a stock ZL1 that you have.
