SS M6 3.73 vs 4.11 Gains?
Benefits of 4.11 with stock height or larger rear DRs? Street and 1/4 pros / cons. Has anyone done this yet? Real world data for the 6th gen ss m6.

IMO the worst thing about the M6 is 1st and 2nd gear, 52 MPH and 80 MPH, before cam and heads. I rather change the trans gear ratio but alas it would be heck of expensive. The only out is the 4.10 and 4.11 is a road race, forget all the details.
So IMO it is a must mod to enjoy the car. I'm trying the band aid of building more torque: cat bypass long runner big plenum intake , CAI CAI, and in the future: mild cam and mild ported heads.

Does GM offer 4.10 gears for this housing? If not, do other vendors?

Richmond gear, I called and they said "it should fit". They don't know anyone that has tried.

I agree about 1st & 2nd, 7speed in C7 is the same story. and yes a trans build would be pointless for me. 4.10-4.56 and a taller DR with a proven FI setup. Id like to try the gear swap out and make a decision from there to go FI or trade up for a 2018 ZL1. If one could be had for 60k

one reason I like the trans mod would be the stock rear end starts getting weak with a 4.1 and to my mind a 4.56 would be out of the question because the pinion gets too small to support a performance engine. I is so much easier from a longevity stand point to design proper 1st and 2nd gears. Deep down I suspect Govment CAFE standards here combined with the skip shift. No way GM would build the M6 with these ratios...

Thats why i ask, what about a diff swap? Now if only someone offered a trans swap with a core charge. Drop ours out, slide the new ratio trans in, send the stock back to them. Turn 2k @ 90mph and gain a proper gear set for cheap.
