Mylink issue

Hey all, the apple car link feature isn't working any longer on my car. I connect it via USB and it will play as a USB connect, but my link just won't work. I've deleted the pairing and repaired, but still nothing. It will try to work as the screen will turn blue at the top and have the little carplay play button icon, but then it will disappear, then 30 seconds later it will try carplay again and then fail. The actual car screen never changes from screen projection to carplay. Any ideas or is this something I just need to send to the dealership?

Have you tried a different cable yet? When you deleted the pairing did you delete on both the device and mylink? Have you tried restarting your phone? Those would be my first steps then maybe the dealership if none of that works.

I'll try another cable when I get home, i can't see it being the cable as it will work as a "usb" link and play that way. I have reset the phone and I deleted the pairing on both the system and the phone. So either it's the cable (which I bought when I got the car) or the system :(

Apple car play

I have encountered this issue and I thought that there is a problem only to find out that it needs an original apple cable and for reason when using generic cables, it won't recognize your phone. this applies ONLY if you are using the usb cable to connect for apple carplay
