NPP passenger valve rattle when closed? - Page 18

Today I hit 800miles... Car sound management is set to track mode... Only time I hear a "buzz" is at WOT, like if I'm cruising on hwy & then hit it real hard to pass someone.. I could hear a buzz from passenger side. Car built 3/23/16

I hear a buzz also but only on tour mode

I've never put it on tour mode, I'll try it for a week, & see

Hey guys so I have the rattle too, passenger side and present in all drive modes (but loudest in tour.) My dealer said they've been having people come in with this problem left and right. They told me GM is sending a updated exhaust with a new part number which supposedly does not have the issue - once it comes in I'll report back.

Just got back from the dealership for this issue, I was told this noise is "normal from performance exhaust valve". Stealth and tour rattle the same on mine. Only mode that I don't hear the rattle too much is track.

Wow!! Time to find a new dealer or reach out to Chevy! People have had replacements already & they have admitted already that this is not normal.

Your dealer has brass balls.

Tmrw morning cold start will be interesting, as I put the car in tour mode, 1st time ever...1k Miles, I'll report back... One thing is that when I was parked switching modes I could hear the valves open/close... Like a "electronic" buzzing sound coming from the rear, as it the opened/closed. I'm 99% sure when I tested it out at dealer I didn't hear anything.

Sounds totally normal. Those electric motors are very powerful. They will make noise. I've had the electric motors off and tried to turn the valves by hand and couldn't turn it all the way bc of how strong the spring is that holds them open
