Yeah, I know what you mean. The vertical adjustment is all you can really do. I actually called blendmount and talk to them about it because I excepted mine to be FLUSH with the mirror. Since our mirrors are THE same as the C7 they just sell the c7 one for us but the thing is, C7 does need that long extension arm from the mirror to the windshield as people have had GPS issues on their radar detector since it wasn't far away from the roof whereas ours does not. Camaro mount could've been a good inch or so shorter which would've been perfect. The guy I talked to was a really good guy, he said he will tell them that they can make it shorter for camaro ones but since it fits, they probably won't care lol.

Ahh, thanks for doing the work lol it still looks great, but like you said 1inch would be perfect.

I think it might be easier for us to access top button since it sits behind some.

Haha np and I agree. It's still good, don't worry! You get used to the gap and it becomes all normal.

Got a update from BlendMount after leaving a low score review about the Camaro issue!!

They are going to see if they have a shorter arm to send me!

The part# of the one I have now is 10-06.

Update:

They are sending me 2 diff shorter arms to try! I'll start with the shortest to see if it causes any "gps signal issues", if not then I'm golden! If so then I will try the medium length.

I will be sending back the extra ones after thorough testing.

^^^Ask them if they will give that shorter arm to other's that have bought their products, if you get a chance?

I'm "fine" with mine but wouldn't mind less gap.

I've come to find that with the Max2 the blendmount held it really nice and solid.

With my new Max 360 it seems to shake a bit more AND it can wiggle side to side. I might ask them to send me some kind of other rubber pad or whatever.

Correct Blendmount to order?

Update:

I installed the 4 inch arm, much shorter than the 6inch (the one they normally sell for C7 & gen6)...

Much tighter fit & def requires you to bend RD downward to hit buttons (which is the intended way for blendmount setups), this is what gives it a smaller looking profile... Cleaner look.

I admit the 6inch arm was growing on me, I did like the easier access... But I usually use the app to mute anyways.

The diff in gap is from 4 finger gap(10-06), to now it's 2 finger gap(10-04), almost flush with mirror glass.

So I will test this setup until Friday to see if I experience any GPS signal issues.

They also sent me a 5inch arm(10-05), which will have a 3 finger gap.

But if the 4inch performs well, then I will just keep the 4 & not bother testing the 5inch.

I will post pics & update you all again on Friday.

Please do send a pic when you can and I am glad you like it! I should call em up and see if they can send me the 4 and 5 inch ones!

Tested it out today..My new blendMount arm fits so much better. Smaller profile, & my max360 had zero issues getting a GPS lock! Instant! Very pleased so far with BlendMount's customer service, sent me out a smaller arm to try at no cost.. In order to see if the new Camaro has any GPS issues with smaller arm vs the long arm that they sent originally.

After 1 more day of testing, I will most likely send back the 10-05 & 10-06. I'll stay with the shortest arm, the 10-04, pictured below:
Here are pics, as you can see only a 2 finger gap from mirror face, down from previous 4 finger.
