Do the AutoX cones damage your car?

Hello all!

I never knew AutoX existed but after getting the Camaro and signing up here I am now Dying to try it! There are some events about an hour from me, and I plan to sign up,.. but I have one fear.

What happens if you hit a cone? Will they damage your car? Though I'm sure I'll take it easy for the first little while I'm sure I'll hit one eventually and I'm afraid it will scratch the paint or crack the front.

If you hit a cone you might get a cone mark which easily comes off with some compound. They are rubber and deform quiet easily it depends how fast you hit them but unless you plow though a wall of cones there will not or will be little damage.

Heh! I'd rather avoid that look, unless I can get it completely even and where I choose.

Thank you for the replies all! I'm glad I don't have to worry about the cones breaking the front plastic/fiiberglass or whatever material that grill and fasha are made of. I can definitely handle a good cleaning taking a rub mark off.

They're usually black.

Just try not to hit them head on at high speed. Saw a BMW break a part by running straight at a cone.

Pretty unusual to get any real damage though. Usually just scuff marks.

BMW fog lights always pop out when hit. They are not held in well at all. Always. You can almost always expect it.

Don't use magic eraser. It is far more abrasive then you really think. Many have taken gloss off the car that can't be replaced with a magic eraser. It is equivalent to 3600 wet dry sandpaper, don't ask me how I know
