Get a quiet exhaust setup and install two cutouts immediately in front of the mufflers and put electric cutout openers on each. Problem solved.
$400 a piece for the actuator alone? That doesn't sound right. Do you have the part number?

Thought about doing cutouts. Have been looking at those. The best I could find but cost around $500.

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/Aggressor/

I really don't want to install a $1200 axel back and then add $500 cutouts. I also have to modify the facia (try anyway....probably end up buying a new one made for a car that came with NPP.......another $350 plus painting cost). This is going to get expensive unless I can find alternatives.

I directed my question to the folks at Borla since they designed the systems and they know how their valves operate. That being the case, their R&D should be able to come up with a mechanism/switch (similar to the one that controls the cutouts in the link I posted) that can control those valves without being connected to a Chevy computer. Or, if it is out of the realm of their R&D, farm it out. Should not be that difficult for a competent electrical engineer. JMHO

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

All the reasons I bought the NPP for $900. I still prefer an aftermarket exhaust sound, but it was gonna add up quickly for something else.

I applaud the price adjustment.

Now I just need to save up a couple months for one.

Anyone have sound comparison to stock NPP?

We are trying to get the Non-NPP systems out as soon as possible. They are going through our whole release process right now. That said, we are probably looking at an early/mid May release.

Sorry for the delayed response, I saw your PM, but I didn't get an email... Did you send it to lisac@borla.com? I was waiting to respond because I wanted to get you an ETA, but unfortunately we do not have an ETA at this time... all I can say is we are definitely working on it. These new Camaro parts are top priority!

I have a meeting tomorrow to discuss the Camaro parts so I will see what I can find out and report back tomorrow afternoon! As far as I know right now, the Non-NPP rear sections will be the next parts released, but I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow.
