No real ETA on blacked out taillights and CAI fellas, sorry :(

I just spoke with someone at the executive offices at GM and he told me that he reached out to the camaro team and they have no concrete date on when these two pieces are coming out..

The waiting game continues!

I don't understand why the intake could take so long. Did they run into some kind of issue?

They've shown the unit multiple times and talked about it at shows, and they've already done testing on it.

Makes no sense.

My guess...and strictly guessing...

Even though they say no tune, etc...I'm thinking it's legal/warranty red tape. IE..."it won't void your warranty" "if you car is modified your track warranty is void"

So does that mean having a warranty safe GM CAI..voids my track warranty? Which warranty is superior, which is technically "voided"?

Probably some legal mumbo-jumbo crap like that.

The intake is done and perfected. That is 100% guaranteed.. Like posted above me, this is for sure a legal issue holding something up.. As far as the darken tail lamps, my guess, manufacturing? But even then, seems simple.. I'm just going to keep waiting for the CAI. I want to keep the car GM "stock".

I'm more interested in the tail lamp assemblies. I'm assuming there is some supplier or material issue. I hope to order a Camaro this fall so maybe they'll be available by then.

I heard that the same supplier that makes the standard taillight will supply the dark ones and they have capacity issues already

Bingo. Every state has different laws about how much light the tail lamps need to pass through and how dark they can be. It's going to be a nightmare frankly for them.

I think we all know which state generally is the biggest wrench in the works...

I don't see how the states regulations apply here. You can still buy gmpp parts in California... Isnt this the same thing?

Please, please, please. I need them badly to complete the look I'm after. Blade spoiler, dark lights, black bow ties, nightfall gray. My TPW is this week
