You can search the Camaro5 threads for V6 muffler deletes. I imagine the 6th Gen V6 is similar enough to the LFX that they would sound the same.

I'm not super knowledgeable about the stock exhaust on the 2016 like I was the 2010 - 2015 V6 models but the common consensus on those was....don't do it.
If you want to do a muffler delete on the V6, look into installing something like a Magnaflow perforated 'X' muffler further upstream and then delete the mufflers. On the 5th gens, you'd just replace the stock H pipe with this, but again, on this generation I am not sure. The specific Magnaflow part number was 11386. A straight delete on a V6 typically is loud, raspy, and not very pleasing, except for maybe in the very low rpms.

I'm kinda ignorant when it comes to exhaust. So I'm not sure if Muffler delete is the same thing as a straight pipe.. But just found this video on YouTube. I like the sound!

KMprenger seems to be right judging by that video.
The very first thing that came to my mind was that it sounds like a honda with a "coffee can muffler". Like stated above. it seemed to sound a lot nicer at low rpm and sounded like a horrible mess at high rpm. |

I also suggest not doing it... I tried it on my 2014, and absolutely hated it myself. In the end I ended up with muffer delete, Magnaflow resonated X-pipe and high flow cats... Sounded horrible. And unbearable drone as well. I don't know how these guys can think it possibly sounds good.

mrt v3 is a muffler delete in the cleanest sense. About as close as you can get and still sound ok. However it doesn't do anything about the cats, which would also need to be deleted in a true straight pipe.
Straight pipe is almost never audibly good sounding. If you want your car to sound like some retarded harley then yea, go straight pipe. You'll make tons of friends and your car will sound like donkey. Plus it smells like unburnt fuel because well... you're dumping out unburnt fuel . edit: I just wanna say that nobody will confront a person who has done this and tell them to their face that their car sounds like a harley at best and that at best harleys sound like crap because they're open header nonsense isn't a safety feature and doesn't do anything but annoy the hell out of everyone around them - not that they'd be able to understand you unless they were reading your lips due to hearing loss. They wont tell you this because if you think it sounds great that your car sounds like some kind of fast and the Furious neon emblazened car you are obviously unhinged and liable to think negative opinions are worthy of violence and murder.
