This was easier to swallow when I was buying brand new Corvettes for $40k, including my 2007.

But, now that GM has been selling $100k+ Corvettes, and $75k Camaros, the price excuse is pathetic and dead.
That's why I bought a 2016 Camaro 1SS. It was the only 2016 GM car, and price, that makes any sense to me.

The M6 is great. The A8 is garbage.
Let's all hope the A10 is a game changer.
You bought a 2016 camaro because the price made sense to you,
and you complain because it doesn't have the same performance as a $2,000,000 Veyron that gets 7mpg ?

Now, in his defense he also had a 911 Turbo in the list and that's only $200K

If you actually READ before you trolled, you'd see the only reason those cars were brought up was in response to the post questioning the strength of DCT clutches and being able to hold LT1/LT4 power.

WRONG. As usual. It's $150k.
The point is still valid there dude....the difference between a 40K car and either a 150K or 200K car?

I'm sure you can quickly get up to 200K w/options, if that helps you out. And when am I wrong...or are you counting your last account as well?

Quite a bold claim. If that were truly the case, then every automaker ever would be using them...or developing them. Yet they're not...

You have much to learn as far as understanding and respecting other people's experiences and preferences. Your opinion of the A8...and that's exactly what it is, an opinion, is not shared by everyone.

Nevertheless...unfortunately, I've got to put my foot down somewhere, and this conversation is going in circles. Let's stay on topic, A10 vs M6 in the ZL1....any further debates and craziness otherwise will be deleted.

I guess I used to be a real driver until about 3 weeks ago

I always though a REAL car enhusiast respects his/her fellow enthusiast no matter what transmission they choose....

is there a way to put a poll into this thread or do you have to do it when you create the thread?

Unfortunately, you have to do it when you create the first post.

The great thing about the internet that most people don't know is you can read something you disagree with and move on without saying a word! It's called restraint. Some have it some do not. You don't have to agree with others but you should respect it. Far too many folks feel the need to prove they are right to everyone who will listen. To those persons I say this. You've stated your opinion. Move along to something more productive.

To each his own for personal preference. I don't think there's an argument that autos perform better than manuals. For me it comes down to the fun of driving the car, which is why I prefer manual. I don't race on the street or track my car. I take it into the mountains for spirited drives on twisty roads. It's what I love to do. Some prefer auto, which is perfectly fine. Neither transmission is "better", it's a matter of what you prefer. I'm glad Chevy is giving consumers the option. Porsche seems to have listened to feedback and is building the 911R, manual only, which sounds like a GT3 without the big wing. Should be awesome.
