Is there an issue with the springs that buyers should be aware of? I plan on running my cat this weekend and was not notified at all. On that note who is responsible if something breaks?

Just go back and look at allamericans top coil on his pic he posted. You can see the coil kinda hangs out over the top mounting plate. That top coil should have been wound tighter in towards the strut as GM did. The springs actually are well built and the ride height is perfect and the bottom coil fits perfectly into its slot on the bottom mount. They may have just made a mistake in their top coil and didn't notice it till it hit the dealer. This sucks for Phastek and Ricardo. The coil may never cause any issues at all, but the spring should fit correctly on the top mount is my opinion.

I'm getting another set from Ricardo, our shop is going to fix the issue. The springs set just perfectly. I'll post up next week after we get them installed

Good to hear you got another set. How did you "fix" the issue. Torch? Or the new ones you got set correctly?

Thanks

We will get them Tuesday I imagine. I think we will just use some heat to turn the leading edge on the top coil. I'll post up once we get them done.

I guess you could cut the coil a little. Cut all 4 the same and maybe end up with springs that fit and a 2" drop

The rear is fine. They are not a strut, just a coil spring and the shock stands alone

Might want to consider what you are doing to the shock position and travel.

what are the risks with getting the lowering springs that drop 1.5"? do they cause any additional wear and tear to the shocks or anything else? I'm not familiar with any of this, still learning.

I'll get them installed next week. I want to go drag racing again before my install.
