Then you should take pride in yourself and not be so judgemental. My dad was a line worker for almost his entire life he went to work with a dirty hat ragged jeans and t-shirts why ? Because his cloths just got ruined all the time... And GM is not going to supply people with clothes. Get real people this is not a dress in your best job.. Paint dirt machines it's a Car plant. Yet when he finally moved up he was able to wear nice clothes. I cannot believe people are comparing a line job to a desk job as far as a dress code.

The way these people are dressed has nothing to do with your paint it sucks that you have to go through this :-( .. And you shouldn't I do agree with that someone needs to step up and get this figured out for you.. And from what I've been seeing around there are so many badly painted camaros some lawyer should step up with a class action if GM is not willing to fix it in the best interest of the consumer.

I've heard that about Basil for years. I had a good experience with Ken Barret in Batavia for my first Camaro and Spurr in Brockport was awesome for my current car.

Factories today are a far, FAR cry from the factories your Dad worked in.

You can eat off the floor at the Honda Marysville plant. Probably can at the GM Lansing plant too. All the dirty jobs are done by robots, and frankly there are few if any dirty jobs left in a modern vehicle assembly line. All the welding is precision welding performed by robots, priming and painting done by robots, and drivetrains are assembled off site so when they get to the vehicle plant they just bolt into the chassis, and installation of all that is clean because all the parts are clean and new.

So there is absolutely no reason for anyone building a car today to not be in either a uniform or a proper dress code,

Yes. Drivel: Nonsense. Silliness. Useless talk. Or mucus flow from the nose or mouth, if you so prefer. It gets ridiculous at times, and as for right now - criticizing Lansing over something as stupid as a candid photograph with next to zero context is completely asinine. I'm sorry to have to be so blunt.

The internet "experts" who can draw universal conclusions from one picture and a handful of bad experiences (compared to the overwhelming number of positive ownership experiences thus far) need to step away from the keyboard for a little bit and go drive their cars....or buy one in the first place. And that'll be the last I weigh on on the subject because the lunacy of jumping to conclusions frustrates me so much, I need to just leave it alone...

I've never been to Fuccillo...I'm not a huge fan of car malls, and I can't quite wrap my head around "Mr. Huge"...

A little far out for me. Basil was okay at doing oil changes...but the minute something out of the ordinary came up, it was catastrophically bad to deal with anyone in that place...it finally got so bad I felt the need to call Chevrolet customer support and share my experiences.

That is simply the attitude of enabling GM to put out cars that aren't top quality.

You have to admit - this paint job should have been caught by any of a couple HUNDRED eyes along the way down the line.

You can leave it alone all you want. I will not nor will I let anyone. GM has to be held to a much higher standard.

I said I'd leave it alone, and that's exactly what I plan to do.

Enjoy your crusade for higher standards. I don't expect you're going to make very much progress complaining about the clothes that some random employees wear in a generic candid photo on a Camaro forum, in an individual's problem-story thread.

Oh, contraire. I think the big-wigs at GM will bring everything to halt and dress their staff in beautiful, new clothes to build our fine automobiles.

Then, and only then, will the quality improve from the happy atmosphere and caring attitudes.

Don't you agree?

To the OP, I feel for you, your situation is unacceptable and QC should have caught the issue but ultimately I put most of the blame on the dealership as they should have taken care of you.

As for the dress of the workers......it is silly talk. I normally wear business casual but *gasp* I wore jeans last Friday (casual Friday's....) and guess what? I gave the same effort that I would have if I were wearing a 3 piece suit.

Luckily my car has been perfect thus far (which I would bet represents the vast majority of Gen 6 Camaro owners) and if that guy who had the pajama pants helped build my car then more power to him, lol.

Seriously, I would never wear pajama's to work, or personally wouldn't want my employees to but you don't know that guy either, he could be a good worker and as far as all the others in the video wearing jeans, t-shirts, ball caps....who cares? If they were part of the crew that helped make my car, then kudos to them.

Maybe your same policy from above first post should be applied to your comments below.....Your last two statements qualify as the same drivel you earlier condemned.....After all, your experience is most likely not the same as the majority....

This forum needs an enama. So what did the folks in Canada wear that built the gen5 car? After all it wasn't without issues either. My first Camaro was one of the worst cars I've ever owned out of many. I wasn't aware that maybe the clothing of the workers may have been to blame. You people are nuts.
