Meh, I'm not paying to listen to someone else's playlist. They can keep their 9 months, don't really see the point in fighting for it if there is no intention of ever paying.

Got their welcome, please subscribe snail mail. Reads like a cable subscription. 150+ channels, 2 you may actually ever tune to, now give us 150 per year.
Customer service sounds about on par with cable too.

The 2016 Camaro comes standard with 12 Months of XM subscription.

An IT issue caused a series of incorrect information to be loaded into the XM system with regards to a 3 month trial instead of the 12 months of service, as intended.

GM and XM are currently working to correct the issue and communicate to all affected customers.

If GM Customer Assistance receives a call from a customer whose 3 month trial has expired, the customer will be directed to their dealer to help resolve the issue.

Dealer Action:

Contact your SiriusXM field team.
The SiriusXM field team member is authorized and will put the customer on a one-month demo as a bridge until this issue is resolved.

I talked to my dealer and this was their response.

You have to buy a 12 month subscription plan at the end of your 3 month trial period. Then, Sirius will credit you 9 months.

Tell him to show you where he got that info and then show him the Monroney label from your car if it still says 12months. He's feeding you B/S!

GM infotainment department has a reference number gcus-9-1803 when they call XM tech support.

I wonder if you can give that code when you call yourself.

Oh..XM renewed mine for 12 months

So, I've talked to the dealership (which has been virtually useless), talked to the field territory manager for XM (a little better) that added my VIN to the exempt list two weeks ago and finally XM Chat.

This is stupid. XM Chat is saying I have to call back at the end of 3 months. I refused. Supervisor is being called over. Sup says there is no option.

Call GM Infotainment 855-478-7767. Have VIN and XM account numbers. They will correct it. Takes about 5 min.

This. They put me through to an XM rep that took care of it immediately. Wait till the end of the three months, though. They will give you a year starting from the date you call them. So, you actually get a one year and three months subscription.

They transferred me also, but they canceled the 3 month and gave me a new 12 month subscription with the call.

They canceled my three months as well, but I called the day before my the months was up. They then started the one year subscription that day. So I got one year and three months of free service. When you call them they will start the one year subscription that day.

I called the 7767 number and was told to contact my dealer.
I requested a supervisor who asked my for my VIN

He verified everything and told me that they would contact Sirius and have 12 months extended to the end of my 3 months.

I told him that that made me nervous and that I'd like the current trial cancelled and a new 12 months started. He read me a bulletin and assured me that I would get an email from sirius that will show a fresh 12 months
Aaron was very friendly
I will believe it when it happens

I originally called XM, they said call back after 3 months and they will extend by 9 months. I did not trust this and called the infotainment number.
