Ha! Have you tried to sit in the back seat of Camaro6? Good luck

C7 Vette will beat the 2016 Camaro down the 1/4 mile, but I would predict the 2016 Camaro vs C6 Vette to be a very close race. I would give the edge to the Camaro by a slim margin of .1 to .2 though.
Depends on how you match them up, there's too many variables to make an assumption like that. When I first bought my m6 ls3 c6 i took it to the track and got 12.17@115 out of it, I doubt an m6 6th gen would get within .5 under the same conditions with an average driver like me. The a8 on the other hand, I'd agree with you. I can't wait to take it to the track and see if this little "chick car" (as some of my coworkers call it) can beat that time of my c6.

From a dig, I'd say my a8 camaro feels every bit as fast as my c6 did. From a 40 roll, I'd say the camaro feels stronger, but that's kind of a dead spot for the c6, and from a 60 roll I'd say the Vette feels a little stronger b/c that's kind of a dead spot for the camaro.

*40 roll and 60 roll on a track, of course

My girlfriend is 5'3" and weighs about 115lbs, she was able to fit back there with about a 1/2" of headroom, so he made a great choice if his kids never grow past 5'4" lol. If so, they'll be sitting back there with tilted heads.

Back seat is just to get 1-2 humans somewhere not too far away in miserable accommodations for all occupants since front seats need to go fwd (the taller/heavier- the more misery).

That's it. that is fine.

ls2 vette yes.

ls3 vette no.

simple power to weight. no aero advantage for the Camaro either.

an ls3 vette is 3200lbs and 430hp.

that beats 3700lbs 455 all day.

The a8 will help with a gearing and shift speed advantage but still not enough apples to apples. One look at the ls3 c6 fast list will show you the 6th gen Camaro is outgunned. not by a ton but the ls3 vette has an edge.

07 Z06 are around 36k and won't be hit with first year depreciation. That's in the same price range as an SS

I know there's not a world of difference between the two, but the power delivery is also a factor. I can make 500rwhp but if I only make 200rwhp until 5k rpms, then 500rwhp at 6k, someone with less power and more weight could potentially outrun me.

There's also geographical factors that play a huge role as well. The only real way to measure a difference would be to run them at the same track at the same time. Plus, there's only 6 people on the gen 6 fast list with a8's as opposed to almost 40 on the stock ls3 fast list right now and just taking the two fastest ones as of now, yes the camaro is outgunned by .2 and 2mph. But I bet there will be one or two that will match that once more people start taking them out to the track, hell, They're doing it now with DR's....only a matter of time.

From what I have seen they run pretty much indentical times in the 1/4 mile. If I was a betting man...I would lean toward the LT1 Camaro over the LS3 Vette in a 1/4 mile race though.

Though I have no seat time in the G6, I think the M6 C6/LS3 will edge out the M6 G6. The A8 G6 may have a better chance.

If i was given the choice between the two it would be simple: Corvette > Camaro all day everyday and twice on Sunday. Performance may be close with how good the 6th Gen is, but sorry its still a Camaro. Just doesn't do it for me the way a Vette would

(assuming I was in position to buy a car with only 2 seats as a toy or something lol if I had to be practical then yes the Camaro)

The Camaro isn't just any car though. It is a performance car that is rich in history.

Its just a Camaro.

The mustang was first.

The mustang has its own dedicated chassis.

The mustang has had continuous production.

The mustang is a worldwide icon standing right next to the corvette.

The Camaro is just a copycat parts bin car driven by mullet wearing trailer trash.

lol Yet you have owned three of them...nice. Mustang drivers are women and douchebag men who can't drive.

I agree. Traded in my 2009 Z51 Automatic for my 2016 1/SS Automatic.
Straight line about the same. Autocross. the C6 posted better times.
but not by much due to the Track mode with the automatic on the Camaro!. I think they would be equal if I put Michelin Super Sports on my Camaro like I had on the C6
