It really helped me Last time, I was paying $90 something a month, carter 6 months they dropped it to $74.
I get so pissed when that thing beeps at me for a hard brake. Usually from some idiot in front of me who slammed on their brakes. It really has made me be more careful about following distance, yellow lights and such.

I live in a small town with zero traffic so it's great. Until I go to a different town with tons of traffic. First time I had snap shot in my other Camaro I had several hard brakes in a single day. Most of them not my fault, definitely frustrating.

I'm in Louisiana and we have the highest insurance rates in the nation. I'm paying 185 a month for full coverage with a 1,000 deductible. That's without uninsured motorist too. I'm 49 with no tickets or accidents since I was 16.

We pay $82.00 per month with $250.00 collision/$0.00 comprehensive deductibles. Our 2010 2SS was $71.00 with same deductibles. Low deductibles, I know, but we like 'em like that.

You can't compare prices from person to person, state to state unless you have the exact same policy. There are so many variables like, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, etc coverage, deducible amounts, gap coverage, some states require uninsured motorist coverage, some states allow you to "stack" coverage, some don't, rental reimbursement, good drivers checks, etc, etc. Unless comparing the exact same policy, of course there will be differences...I could easily change my policy features and cut my monthly costs in half, but I like max coverage on everything.

Bringing this one back...

I found this to be a decent guide to state-to-state differences in average rates:

http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/...nce-rates.html

To minimize my own rates, I've always maximized deductibles and paid an annual premium instead of semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly premiums. I realize that won't work for everyone, though.

Ah Florida. 2nd most expensive state to insure (after Michigan), thanks to "no-fault" insurance being mandatory $25k payouts.

My LT (V6) is $1,400 every 6 months right now. No moving violations for over a decade, and only one accident in my life (unfortunately it was less than two years ago), I rear-ended a fellow and his older mother at about 10 MPH...they jumped on the "my neck/my back" train and got paid, so that will suck for a while as far as my premiums go.

I'm drooling over your guys' prices. I pay $250/month with full coverage and a $500 deductible. It's all because of my age since I have 0 accidents on record.

Wow, I thought I had it bad. Man, that's a crazy rate.

I totally mistyped it originally. I edited it after verifying my insurance account, and it's actually $1,400/6 months. You got the quote/reply in while I was double-checking the numbers.

$137/month in Cali with less than a perfect record... when it was perfect, it was $124.
