I am definitely buying a 2016 vert. Im a bit torn between leasing vs purchasing. Tb your monthly payment of 535 seems to be what Ill like to pay on a lease, however that's close to 20k gone. What do you all think

how and they heck are you all getting these low interest rates? My credit score is 798 and the best I got was a 3% interest rate and I put it out to 84 months to get the payments to $430. I guess because I took it out so far that's why the rate was higher. I plan paying it off in about 4 years through yearly bonus and tax return being used to pay principle, but took it out further to have lower payments monthly. Now if I was single I'd have just gone and got a 2SS, but currently have car payment for my GF as well.

2016 SS2 Camaro

45000 car they had specail for march 1500 off, traded in my 2013 Camaro SS2 with 23400. Got 24500 then they tried to give 5.9 % 667 a month wouldn't bite, then came back with 637 at 75 months at 5.9. I looked at them called up my insurance State Farm, ask them they came back with 3.8% 605 month with free Gap insurance. When I was about to go get the check to pay the car off, they offered me 589 month at 3.6 % at 75 months. Transfer all my extended old warranties that on the 2013 to my 2016. So 6 years bumper to bumper warranty they also took off there fees and added discount from my work lol. So after all said and done they finally told me what credit score was it was 800 and they tried to stick me with 5.9 % lol. So the ones that scratching your heads on high %, I would asked your insurance before you walk in there for one and see what they can give you first. Then use it against them because they will do whatever to get your business.

Years ago, I used to sell new and used cars. They throw out those initial numbers just to punch you in the throat and make you feel like you got a deal in the end. I'm not saying you didn't, but it's just a tactic, It's part of the game.

I emailed a salesperson and asked what a lease would be on a 2SS with NPP and he said a 36 month 10k lease would be 691 a month... Lol. Probably won't lease anyway.

$387 a month for a 3 year loan at 2.59%. I was fortunate have enough down payment to only have to borrow $14,000.

$8k down, and on a lease?? OUCH! Why not just keep that $ in the bank? You are giving them your $ upfront. On a lease, $0 down makes the most sense. Sure the monthly payment is higher, but it works out the same in the end, while you had that $ in the bank incase you need it.

45900 out the door... Put 5900 down. $40k financed for 72 months @ 1.99 through a credit union. 795 score. Monthly ended up at $591. I plan on sending $1000 for a while to knock it down faster.

Yeah 8-10k down seems a bit much. Think I'll just purchase with that amount as a down payment
