Meaning test drive the C7 again.. Cuz we rented one. By the time the ZL1 comes out I'd want to drive them back to back. Of course I have not driven a new ZL1 lollol. I wish.

Unless the ZL1 is breathtaking for BOTH of us, I'll probably get her a CPO C7 to make her happy. Plus I get to drive it too.

Thanks for the input everyone.

If I had to pick between the new ZL1 or a new non-Z06?!?! ZL1, all day long.
But, throw a Z06 w/Z07 package, and there's no looking back! lol

I'm lucky enough to have had seat time in the new ZL1. It's stunning, and unbelievably fast. Certainly faster and "get more for your money" than a Stingray, even Z51...If it were up to me, I'd have the ZL1 all day long. A remarkable value for a ridiculously good car. (In fact, that's what I plan to do! )

That said - your wife's comment that the Corvette is a dream car of hers resonates. The C7 is a great car in its own right, and there'd be nothing wrong with choosing that to get her dream car.

PS. I've noticed that people who are interested in cars know about the ZL1...it's got quite the "Halo" factor. And the ZL1 looks very different from an SS and LT. I would be shocked if very many people mistook it for a "regular" Camaro.

Please describe your assessment of the driving differences between the Gen5 and Gen6 ZL1?!!!!! Will I be running to trade in my Gen5, or just fine to drool from afar?

The answer to that question will probably depend on how many dollars are in your pocket...

I didn't drive it, but we rode along for hot laps as the hot-shoe engineers and executives from GM drove it around Spring Mountain Motorsports Park.

From the passenger seat, the car was significantly better in just about every way. It turned in quicker, was more responsive to steering inputs, held more G's, accelerated way faster, held more speed through corners, had less body roll, and made more good noises.

What more could anyone want in a Camaro?
