So install without the provided tape? I'm getting closer to getting my car, few more weeks!

I'm sure others feel really differently, but yes, I personally would not put it on with tape. I'm gone through two splitters on other cars, and they had to come off to be repaired or polished, I want mine to come off easily, and with 6-8 bolts and 4 poppers (or rivets) it's plenty solid attached. No need for tape that does not like to come off. I've been doing mods like this for 10 years and this is what comes from my experience. The engineers that made this ,didn't plan for it to come off, But I see it differently.

Leave the peel tape cover on, it just does not need to be activated.....provides a nice sealable gasket.

Thx, last question... In using push pins instead of rivets on those 4 spots... Do we still drill same size holes first? Or diff bit? (Hate the idea of drilling holes into the car btw lol)

You are drilling holes on the underside of the bumper. I don't see any reason to get paranoid over that. The rivets create holes, you can find poppers that are smaller than what I used if you want Smaller holes. Doesn't bug me in the least. there is a splitter covering the holes! By the way one splitter manufacture on the new Corvette uses poppers exclusively, and nothing else....... nine of them.

What size drill bit did you use for the poppers? I'm only paranoid because I've never drilled a hole & not sure how far to push the drill bit in lol! I'm a Virgin with a drill gun, the video didn't show that part of the install, which for me is the part I wanted to see most.

Dunno....get some Tupperware. Get some drillbits. Drill what you think the size of the Popper. Put the popper in. Pop it. Now you know what size to use. You don't hit anything when you break through the bumper.

Thanks for the idea. I plan to use the poppers which will make it easy to clean and polish down the line as you mentioned. Anyone that put one on with only using poppers and the screws and no tape, is it holding pretty tight in place?

Here's the deal. Just don't use uncover all the tape that they do ,they run it all all down the front and over the sides, just open up smaller pieces if you want , and the screws and poppers . It's not either or.
