Update: did 150 miles last night over to ft Meyers and it is indeed opening up
Observations:
A solid throaty bark when cold starting...very nice
Strong sound when accelerating
Still no drones
No tinny, farty sounds, when it growls, it growls nice.....

Getting happier every day, the only thing you won't get is a burble at stop lights, do you get that with the V6 NPP?

I'll visit a dealer and see if I can compare with a NPP V6...,

Update to the update: found a dealer with a v6 NPP, going to hear it now .....

update to the update, just heard a V6 NPP, it is noticeably louder, both in tour and sport, than the v6 gm perf exhaust....sorry guys.....

So today I received them from Cultrag (thx Patrick) I put on 2 coats of bbq satin black paint just to protect and look better ......install with pics tomorrow at my local muffler shop.

Some nuggets from the install instructions:

1. It is a Borla product
2. The std big muffler must be cut out but then install is just hang and clamp in place. No more than an hour install
3. The SS exhaust contains an ANC upgrade for the Bose system, the V6 does not.
4. The tips are 4.25 inches diameter.

Stay tuned more info and wav file tomm!

Nice socks.

Just a weekly update, this exhaust has grown on me and kudos to the borla/gm guys that got it right. It is not NPP, but it is a nice single mode ingenious exhaust. It has a great start up bark, then idles down to a very nice low rumble and is completely sedan like except if you step on it. No drone on the highway, or anytime you're not getting on it. I still think it's rather expensive at $900, but it does work very well. The pipes are perfect, in a much different look than the stock single tips. Bigger and cleaner. The bowties embossed on the tips are a classy touch.

How much would you say it opened up over the course of the week? Considering getting it so just want to know what to expect initially. And how far off would you say that it is from the NPP after a week with it installed now?

The NPP is a different sound. It is more of a crackle sound than this low rumble. I can't describe it, you have to hear both. I would say after 700 miles it's opened up 15% or so .

Makes me wonder if the stock exhaust system is a full 2.5 diameter instead of the 2.75 NPP from primary cats back (which would add more sound to it and sound a bit different due to the muffler setup). I figured this system would sound louder than the NPP and still not have any drone. GM wouldn't have sanctioned it if it had drone to begin with though so I didn't expect any but it not sounding as loud as NPP is VERY interesting!

How does it sound vs the stock exhaust? The stock exhaust is growing on me, I wasn't expecting the stock to sound as good as it does, fairly loud and a nice mechanical sound in the upper rpm

I realize people want this, but my phone does a crappy job.....ill see if a friend can help in the next few weeks. Suffice to say it'has a more throaty sound than the stock exhaust...I have tried to say it several ways above.
