Sub Amp Location?

Where is everyone installing their subwoofer amp? Curious if anyone installed next to Bose amp under the cover and had any overheat issues....

Installed mine on the back of the enclosure i made and built a cover to hide the wires and amp. Pretty tight spot. If the amp is of a decent quality heat shouldn't be a issue installed under the trunk floor cover.

It might be a good location but I would be concerned about heating with a big D class amp. I imagine the factory really isn't pushing that many watts RMS to build up a lot of heat. Guess you could always cut the panel to allow some air flow.

I have a kicker 300.1 mono class d amp and have no issues whatsoever, should be fine.

Good that should be plenty of power for most setups.
