I don't know what your guys are doing, but it likely has nothing to do with the NPP circuit. You can easily wire a toggle to the #51 fuse using a fuse tap, some wire and a switch. This should not F with the computer at all. Since you're talking about 2 different things I suspect maybe their "Kill" switch wiring job is the issue...If you're doing a battery disconnect you would need some pretty big (Battery cables) wiring.

As a theft deterrent? Maybe you don't realize how complicated it is to start a car with a keyless system. Or do you just want it because you want it?

I want it for personal reasons. I'm not at all worried about someone stealing my car.

Ok all good then. I would maybe find the ignition wire off the "Start" button in the car and use that to wire a hidden switch. Running a switch off a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box seems like it would have more issues. But honestly I'm out of my league here since I've never attempted something like that on a newer car.

OK I had to reread your original post. I thought you were just wanting to wire a switch to simulate the fuse pull for the NPP. Honestly though, the theory is still the same for a kill switch for the Ignition. If you pull the fuse for your Ignition, you won't be able to start your car. The only difference here with a kill switch for Ignition is that you'd be tapping into different wires and removing the Ignition fuse as opposed to the NPP. The Ignition wire will most assuredly be a thicker gauge wire, most likely a 12AWG so you'd need the yellow coded connectors or taps. You'd also need a heavier duty switch to handle the current.
