Both the 6th & 5th. Gen look spectacular and very different.
So Rotofab and others can sell them Well being that the rotofab added 20-30 HP on the LSA maybe we will get the same on the LT4.

I liked the car a little when it 1st came out but now I am liking it a lot more. I am sure in person it looks sweet. Contemplating going to NY autoshow as I have a lot going on next week. The show in general is great and getting a 1st hand look at the new ZL1's would be great. Last time I went they had the Z28 and C7. The cars they have at the show is crazy. There are a ton of supercars and exotics and everything else you can imagine.

Also, I had no intention of ever selling my 2012 and I think if I really like it I will lean towards a new one.

No, I mean like, in order to get that close to the hood opening people would think you (read -- a camaro6 member) are going crazy climbing in the engine bay / leaning half way over the car to get the perfect shot

I got a chance to sit in the car during press day on Wed and all I can say is, Sign Me Up!. Im between this and a grand sport but im leaning more towards the Zl1. The seats fit me perfect (6'1 200lbs and a 36" waist) and I love all the alcantara touches on the inside. Im curious to see what the final power numbers are since I think they have a few more ponies up their sleeve.

Could you see the opening to the heat extractor from the driver's seat?

There's nothing about this car I don't like. It was great to see in person but as expected you can't get up on top of the car since its on a turntable. Big disappointment. Of course if I were the manufacturer I'm not sure I would want thousands of savages rubbing their Dna all over the car anyway. At Saturday's show the convertible was not present. Oh well. Disappointment number 2. The product spokesperson aka model said the backup camera is right above the rear license plate, it had a keyless entry system and the hood was painted although an exposed carbon fiber insert appeared likely. There were some accessories around the perimeter of the display including the color matched door inserts. They are sticking to the late 2016 delivery hint Xmas gift?

Hey! I was there on Saturday, too! The spokespeople there are product "specialists"...but not experts. In some cases, they are outsourced from another company to run the floor of the show.

Anyways, I've been looking into this since people first started asking, and the tires on the car do not have Goodyear's "RunOnFlat" stamp on them. Goodyear makes two versions of the Eagle F1 Supercar G:2 tire....a standard radial, and a RunOnFlat...perhaps these, like the last generation ZL1, are regular radial tires?

It would look like this:

No. :( They weren't opening the hood for the public show days.

Dang. I was really hoping I'd have the same ho-hum reaction to the Gen6 ZL1 as I did to the SS. Dang.

To those Alcantara (synthetic suede) non-believers, don't knock it if you haven't experienced it yet. My ZL1 with suede steering wheel, shifter, and Recaro inserts is my first suede interior - have always been a leather junkie. But from now on alcantara will be my interior first choice - LOVE the soft touch materials, love the seat comfort and not frying sitting down in shorts on a hot summer day, no sweaty hands on the steering wheel and shifter, and the huge difference in comfort.

Guess all the more reason to drive the @#&$ out of my Gen5 ZL1 now. Temptation process has begun.
