Does anyone have an LT RS with the black split spoke rims?
I really want to see what this would look like and I can't find a picture anywhere.

With the black painted split spoke rims that is an $2,000 LPO option, does the dealer have the rims powder coated black that come with the car, or do they order a completely new set of black rims, and just swap them out?

My understanding is that when you order the LPO wheels, you're paying for an additional set of wheels, as opposed to a replacement set. You should ask the dealer for the original factory wheels when you take delivery. They belong to you. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong.

As of last week they are still not available. I ordered mine 2-11 with the black split spoke and they put the order on hold with no time table when they will be available. So I optioned the 5 spoke black with red stripe because I wanted my car. still waiting. going to purchase the ground effects kit when it becomes available. not sure why they sell this option this stuff when it's not available.

Anybody who wants black split spokes, but does not want to wait until they are available again, should let me know. Before I installed 22" wheels, I had my factory silver split spokes powdercoated satin black and put the OE 56F black center caps on them too. So now they are exactly the same as the 56F wheels.
Selling them with tires, tpms, and lugs. Whole set has only 650 miles too!

Im just thinking of having my splits powder coated low gloss black to match my stripe. I was quoted $650.
On a side note my car HAD the RTH 20" 5 spoke low gloss wheels from factory. The dealer, upon someone else's request, did a wheel swap (before I put a deposit down). This is how I ended up with the silver split spokes. They did compensate me though. Mark |
