Driver side speaker issue?

I have a intermittent dead sound spot like my driver side speakers turn down. To fix it i can turn it up until they kick on and then return the volume and its fine. Or i can go in to the settings and change the audio to be on the driver side and it restores to normal use until i turn off the car for a bit. i have a base model 1ss anyone notice anything similar? almost seems like software issue/bug. Sound quality is unaffected.

So Turning on Auto speed volume helps some because its less likely to be at a constant level you can hear the speaker turn on and off more often

I'm having the same issue. I took it into the dealer and they "claim" they can't replicate it. I have no problem replicating it for them. I think they just don't know how to fix it...

I have the exact same issue. I think some wiring is lose, but I can't figure out what to fix it. Also the airbag needs service warning/light comes on maybe 1 in 100 car starts(and goes away on its own the next car start). I saw in the other thread that issue was in fact caused by loose wiring.

Another possibly related thing. Above the rear view mirror, the 'passenger airbag off/on' light flickers when the car starts for maybe 30 seconds. The same time it stops flickering the faulty speaker starts working as well. I have a dashcam hardwired into that light, so at first I wrote the flicker off as the dashcams fault, but now I see it line up with the bad speaker I'm not sure. Would love to hear if anyone finds/fixes this.

Same issue on our car. My service department wants to replace the dash speaker but I don't think that's going to solve it.

ya, they wanted to do the same for my car. I really doubt it's the speaker and I'd rather not have the dash torn apart to replace something that isn't broken.

Only posters in here are 1SS owners. I would ask the service department to swap the non-Bose amp out of the trunk with another and see if it happens again. Intermittent cutout can also be a signal drop from faulty capacitors for that channel on the amp.

Ours isn't a 1SS and it has Bose.

Has anyone gotten this solved? Did a speaker replacement fix it?
