VVT Delete?
Is there a complete VVT delete kit available for the LT1?
I'm familiar with phaser limiters but I would rather keep it old school if possible. |

VVT Delete?
They make both VVT limiters and complete delete kits. Any cam that you get from a tuner or engine builder will be sold with a VVT limiter or delete depending on the cam specs. Keep the VVT if at all possible, but if you're running a very aggressive cam, you'll have to delete it. You will lose a lot of low end and midrange power if you completely remove VVT.
You can get a less aggressive cam with limited VVT, still gain a lot of power, and keep the low end closer to stock levels. I see no reason to remove it completely unless you're strictly concerned with track times regardless of the affect it has on street driving. |

Texas Speed has a wide selection of LT1 camshafts.

If you were to do this, it would be better to drop in a LSX and go for the gusto....

I'd do the driver delete mod before going into the engine if I were you.

Why not get a big VVT cam? Fly cut the Pistons if you have too. No need to slow the car down.
